Betty’s Epix!

July 29th, 2009

I am thrilled to be working on Betty’s wedding this coming September and was double-thrilled that she asked me to do her hair and make-up for her engagement photos (done by Next Exit!) Betty is sooooooo sweet and as you can see, just radiant.  She makes my job easy!!

She bought the cutest Jackio-O style dress and had me do her hair 1/2, 1/2 down with a 60s flair.  I loved how she turned out :)

Ambrie!!

July 10th, 2009

I have been waiting patiently to see Ambrie’s photos and was thrilled this morning to get an email that her photographer, Anika London, just posted them on her blog!! I was thrilled to see that Anika got so many great portraits of Ambrie…I had a hard time choosing, so I can only imagine Ambrie will have a really hard time!!

Ambrie is, as you can see, a stunning girl, so doing her hair and make-up was a breeze!! She chose a very elegant look for her hair, pulled back with a little volume in front and sculpted curls in the back.  She had a mantilla-style veil, but didn’t want to wear it over her head, so we just placed it over the bun.  Perfect! Ambrie’s skin was FLAWLESS…in the photo close-up of her eyes being done, she doesn’t even have foundation on yet! We chose bronzes for the eyes and cheeks and pink lips for an exotic, yet elegant look.  Ambrie’s sister/MOH and bridesmaids were a blast.  I have to give a shout out to my assistants, Kali and Tessa who helped with their hair and make-up.  We enjoyed watching them practice their dance for the reception!

Here are the photos…enjoy!!

A Gorgeous LA Wedding!!

June 20th, 2009

Day’s like this, I really love my job…it’s 11 AM and I’m already done with work for the day :) I had an awesome wedding today at Hyatt in Huntington Beach.  Eckman Maus is doing the photography and I’m already dying to see the photos!

Today, I wanted to share some really pretty shots done by the always amazing, Next Exit! Bree was such a lovely bride to work with.  She hired me to do her make-up, so I can’t take credit for her awesome 60s-inspired hair! Anyhow, I loved Bree’s coloring with the clear skin, red hair and amazing lash extensions.  I just new a fresh, slightly smoky look would be perfect.  And, Bree is a big fan of blush, so we got along great :)  Here are the pictures!!

San Diego with Erin!

June 8th, 2009

I am so excited that John Schnack has already posted pictures from this weekend’s awesome wedding!! It seems like I’ve done a ton of weddings with him and Daniel Boswell lately!

This wedding was a lot of fun, so to see the entire event, check out John’s blog.  All I have to say is that the guys wore kilts!! And, I love it that Erin’s dad is a marine and wore his dress blues for the event…pretty impressive!

Erin and her girls were tons of fun.  Erin was honestly the most relaxed bride I’ve ever encountered and her bridal party should win a trophy…They were incredibly sweet and stress-free.  Erin is a beautiful blonde with bronzy skin.  We had originally planned to do the transformer hair on her, but after I put her extensions in, we decided it looked too good that way that we couldn’t bear to put it up! Her make-up included smoky taupe colors and nude lips.  I was thrilled with the results.
