Before and Afters!

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Through the years,  our brides have been gracious enough to allow me to photograph them both before and after hair and make-up.  They are all beautiful women before, so with hair and make-up, they are just glowing.  I will start featuring these great before and after shots on the blog so you future brides can get a better idea of what we do!

Kim was my New Years Eve 2009 bride.  She might just be one of the coolest brides ever..She is an officer in the Army and is trained to disarm bombs!! Watch out Jack Bauer!!  She is a beautiful blonde (Love!) and went for a beachy, yet glamourous look for her Long Beach wedding.  Congratulations, Kim and thank you for your service to this Country!!

Bree’s Wedding Featured in The Knot Magazine :)

Friday, February 19th, 2010

I am so excited to announce that Bree’s wedding was featured in The Knot Southern California.  This wedding was shot by my friends at Next Exit and was absolutely stunning.  I did Bree’s make-up and her personal stylist did her hair…she looked like the perfect bride!

Beryl in Long Beach

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I am finally back after a long, exhausting maternity leave and am excited to post pictures from my last wedding.  Beryl and her husband Jeremy got married in Long Beach.  Next Exit got some great shots of them which I am very excited to share!

Beryl chose an asymmetrical low chignon with a few face framing waves.  Loved it!

Her make-up was natural with an emphasis on the eyes…lashes were a must :)

Enjoy!

Betty and Matt at La Venta

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

I have had so many brides get married at La Venta Inn, but have never had the opportunity to actually see the venue until Betty and Matt’s wedding. Betty hired me to not only do the hair and make-up at the hotel, but to stay for touch-ups, so I got to use the adorable bridal cottage at La Venta. It is a very beautiful venue…I highly recommend it!

Betty was the most radiant bride I think I’ve ever worked with…She is glowing from the inside out and her skin is to die for!! For Betty, I played up her eyes with individual lashes and definitely used a pop of color on her cheeks.  I barely had to use any foundation or powder.  Betty wanted a hair style that could be let down for the reception, so we decided to do an up-do that could transform into a chic ponytail at the reception.  I was thrilled with the results :)

Cat and Adi from Next Exit did the photos…love them! Check out their blog to see the rest!

Mission Inn Wedding Shoot

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

I absolutely love the Mission Inn….it has beautiful architecture, a gorgeous spa, and amazing food (Love Duane’s restaurant and the hotel’s Sunday brunch!!).  It is always a pleasure to do work for the hotel.  Recently, we did a shoot to promote weddings…If I could get married all over again, I think the Mission Inn would be my top choice :)

Casey and Jack were amazing models to work with. I’ve worked with Casey for years…she is such a pro in front of the camera and a lovely person off camera.  Love her! Jack was a modern day Prince Charming…such a gentleman!

For Casey’s look, we did soft curls with a center part for a romantic look.  We added some extensions for fullness as well.  For her make-up, we did a strong eye with thick black liner top and bottom and full strip lashes.  We used many coats of YSL mascara to top off the look (Casey’s favorite!!).  Her lips were Oak lip pencil and C-Thru lipglass from MAC.

I did some touch-ups on Jack as well…a little powder, brow gel, and lip balm :)

The photos were taken by Peter Cooper.  Check out his site!! I love how the photographs turned out!!  :) He did a fantastic job!
